» The incisor root canal procedure is done under local anesthesia.
» An opening is done in order to expose the damaged pulp.
» The pulp is removed with the help of special instruments called files.
» All the necrotic pulp tissue is removed and the canal is disinfected.
» The pulp is replaced with a rubber-like material called gutta-percha and the cavity is sealed with a restoration material.
» This process may require a few visits depending on the severity of the infection but the process is relatively less time-consuming as there is only a single canal in incisors.
» The NiTi files are used to clean the canals more effectively.
» The ultrasonic instruments that are used allows a greater view of the operating field making the process easier and faster.
» The apex locator helps in identifying the length of the canal.
